Michael Alexander Ord - died on the 7th July 1993, aged 14. Much loved son of Anne and Stuart Ord and brother of Laura, who was then 9 years old.
He was a student at Queen's Park High School, Chester and had been representing his school at County Sports when he took ill. What we thought was the flu turned out to be Meningitis and he died the following day. His death was terrific shock as he was an otherwise fit and heathly young man.
He had many interests including Karate, Swimming, Computing, and being with friends. Michael was a kind person, considerate of others with a great sense of humour. A good student will a great ability for Maths and Science and he also represented his school in sporting events. He loved his family, especially his sister Laura.
His death changed us all. The loss of anyone we love is hard to bear, but the loss of a child deprives us of part of our future for our hopes and dreams go with them. He is thought of every day with much love and pride. We miss you Michael. Mum, Dad and Laura.

I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to Michael's family, i know how it feels to lose somebody to meningitis, my cousin passed away when she was one and it was so hard to deal with, she would be 17 now and it hurts to think that you have missed out on so much that could have been.
